Depending on the day of the week, life can sometimes be more thrilling than we'd like. Sometimes it’s preferable to take a step back, sink into your couch, and stare down the danger in *other *people’s lives.
If you fall into that boat *and *you happen to be a Peacock subscriber, you’re in luck. The streamer has more than its fair share of binge-worthy thrillers, from chilling true-crime TV to paperback potboilers turned into star-studded prestige fare.
But whether we’re talking fiction, non-fiction, or stranger-than-fiction, when it comes to thrillers, this particular library has plenty to offer. Brace yourself accordingly: Here are the 10 best thriller series streaming on Peacock.
All Her Fault (2025)

Sarah Snook and Jake Lacy debate whose fault it is in 'All Her Fault'.
Sarah Enticknap/PEACOCK
*All Her Fault *showcases Sarah Snook as Marissa Irvine, a mother who goes to pick up her son Milo from a playdate, only to find he’s not there. A mom’s worst nightmare, of course — but things get worse, and weirder.
As Det. Alcaras (Michael Peña) investigates, various details, secrets, and seemingly unrelated circumstances come to the fore — some, inevitably, are just red herrings; others are important in ways we couldn't see coming.
It’s not simply “things aren’t quite what they seem.” It’s bigger: People aren’t quite who they say, the stories they tell aren’t quite the truth, and sometimes people have good reasons for doing bad things. Or so they tell themselves.

**Cast:** Sarah Snook, Jake Lacy, Dakota Fanning, Jay Ellis, Sophia Lillis, Michael Peña, Abby Elliott
Broadchurch (2013–2017)

Olivia Colman and David Tennant on 'Broadchurch'. ITV
*Broadchurch *creator Chris Chibnall said he always envisioned this three-season mystery as a trilogy, but if we’re being honest, it’s the first season that’s the true must-watch of the bunch. It’s such a moving piece of work, it’s liable to break you emotionally a time or two.
The story follows detectives Alex Hardy (David Tennant) and Ellie Miller (Olivia Colman) as they investigate the slaying of an 11-year-old boy. More than simply a murder mystery, *Broadchurch *is a mournful portrait of a town and its people in the aftermath of tragedy, but it never scrimps on the twisty requirements of the genre. Prepare to be utterly devastated.
Where to watch *Broadchurch*: Peacock
**Cast:** David Tennant, Olivia Colman, Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan, David Bradley, Carolyn Pickles, Jonathan Bailey

Holliday Grainger is being watched on 'The Capture'.
To say this British series is more relevant now than it was seven years ago is a depressing statement, but we regret to inform you it is indeed the case.
*The Capture* follows police inspector Rachel Carey (Holliday Grainger) as she gets wrapped in a not-so-simple mystery. At the heart of it is a British soldier (Callum Turner) who gets exonerated for one murder, only to get immediately implicated in another. In both cases, the video evidence seems… fishy.
Many have drawn comparisons to *Minority Report*; the technological hook in this case is deep-fake technology. The show casts a shrewd, skeptical eye on the very slippery slope of disinformation in the digital age.
Where to watch *The Capture*: Peacock
**Cast:** Holliday Grainger, Lia Williams, Ron Perlman, Ben Miles, Ginny Holder, Callum Turner

Lashana Lynch isn't going to let Eddie Redmayne out of her surveillance sights in 'The Day of the Jackal'.
Marcell Piti/Carnival Film & Television Limited
*The Day of the Jackal* is based on Frederick Forsyth’s 1971 potboiler, first adapted into a 1973 film starring Edward Fox and Michael Lonsdale and later an American remake starring Bruce Willis and Richard Gere.
In this modernized take, Eddie Redmayne is the eponymous “Jackal,” an international assassin — masterful at his line of work, even more masterful at staying under the radar. MI6 agent Bianca Pullman (Lashana Lynch) aims to change that.
There’s understandable skepticism about yet another movie being extended to series length, but this one puts those doubts to rest. It’s a crackling cat-and-mouse thriller about two characters whose determination and strategic savvy transforms it into a high-stakes game of playful espionage.
Where to watch The *Day of the Jackal*: Peacock
**Cast:** Eddie Redmayne, Lashana Lynch, Ursula Corbero, Chukwudi Iwuji, Eleanor Matsuura, Charles Dance
Dr. Death (2021–2023)
Gustaf Hammarsten and Luke Kirby in 'Dr. Death' season 2.
Clifton Prescod/PEACOCK
Based on the podcast of the same name, the first season of *Dr. Death* provides Joshua Jackson with a tremendous spotlight role as Dr. Christopher Duntsch. The Dallas-based neurosurgeon considered himself something of a visionary, and people (the more vulnerable and desperate, the better) bought it. But a certain pattern emerged, with his patients reporting severe injuries, complications, and botched operations. Two of them died, and he went to trial.
Season 2 revolves around yet another doctor of death, Paolo Macchiarini (Edgar Ramirez), a thoracic surgeon whose misconduct during his study of regenerative medicine led to his imprisonment. Both seasons are solid, but Jackson’s performance in the first installment is staggeringly good.

The Fall (2013–2016)

Jamie Dornan hides in broad daylight in 'The Fall'.
Already a small-screen icon thanks to *The X-Files*, Gillian Anderson found in *The Fall* a law-enforcement character that gave her even more to chew on.
The show was also an early breakthrough for Jamie Dornan as Paul Spector, a mild-mannered grief counselor who also happens to be a serial killer. Anderson’s Stella Gibson is the detective called in to investigate an unsolved murder in Belfast and winds up uncovering a disturbing pattern.
Even more than a typical cat-and-mouse thriller, this series operates on two wavelengths — a granular procedural on one end, and an unnerving portrait of a pathological monster on the other. That was more than enough to carry three disturbingly intense seasons.

**Cast:** Gillian Anderson, Jamie Dornan, John Lynch, Aisling Franciosi, Stuart Graham, Niamh McGrady
A Friend of the Family (2022)

Jake Lacy is not as friendly as he looks in 'A Friend of the Family'.
The story of *A Friend of the Family *is so strange (and horrific) that it's hard to believe it's based on real events. The miniseries follows Mary Ann and Bob Broberg (Anna Paquin and Colin Hanks), whose daughter Jan (Mckenna Grace) was abducted and sexually assaulted by their neighbor, Robert Berchtold (Jake Lacy).
And he did it not just once, but twice — first when the girl was 12, then again at 14. Did we mention that Robert also has close encounters with both Mary Ann *and* Bob? It’s a disconcerting story from start to finish, but for better or worse, you can’t stop watching.

**Cast:** Jake Lacy, Anna Paquin, Colin Hanks, Lio Tipton, Mckenna Grace, Joe Chrest

Brendan Gleeson takes on Stephen King (and that creepy guy behind him) in 'Mr. Mercedes'. Sonar Entertainment
Based on Stephen King’s “Bill Hodges” trilogy, the series follows Hodges (Brendan Gleeson), a retired detective who struggles to move past a case he was never able to successfully solve: the so-called “Mr. Mercedes,” who killed 16 people by driving a stolen Mercedes into a line at a job fair.
A few years after his retirement, our grizzled gumshoe finds himself battling wits with an electronics store employee named Brady Hartsfield (Harry Treadaway). Is this a new killer or is he, in fact, the mysterious “Mr. Mercedes”? Either way, he’s another truly evil King creation.

Prey (2014–2015)

Rosie Cavaliero on 'Prey'.
In this British anthology series, only one character remains the same between the two seasons: Det. Sgt. Susan Reinhardt (Rosie Cavaliero).
In season 1 she investigates a fellow detective, Marcus Farrow (John Simm), who finds himself falsely accused of the murder of his ex-wife and one of his sons.
Season 2 focuses on a prison officer, David Murdoch (Philip Glenister), whose attempt to save his abducted daughter by acquiescing to the demands of her kidnapper has unexpected consequences.
Both series are adrenaline-packed throughout. Though Cavaliero is our throughline, *Prey* is true to its name, with the primary focus being the men besieged by events beyond their control.
Where to watch *Prey*: Peacock
**Cast:** Rosie Cavaliero, John Simm, Philip Glenister, Benedict Wong, MyAnna Buring, Ralph Ineson
Vigil (2021–present)

Suranne Jones in 'Vigil'.
If you’ve ever seen episodes of *NCIS* where local police departments struggle to do their own investigations and then Gibbs and his gang arrive on the scene to take care of business, you’ll have an instinctive feel for *Vigil*.
Scotland police inspector Amy Silva (Suranne Jones) is sent to the HMS *Vigil*, a nuclear-powered submarine, to look into a mysterious death. Her investigation gets increasingly claustrophobic (being on a submarine tends to have that effect), which gives the show a unique, increasing tension.
Season 2 is also military-themed, this time tied to a Royal Air Force drone that kills several soldiers under suspicious circumstances.
Where to watch *Vigil*: Peacock
**Cast:** Suranne Jones, Rose Leslie, Gary Lewis, Orla Russell, Martin Compston, Paterson Joseph, Stephen Dillane
