After season 3 ended on a major cliffhanger, Sullivan's Crossing is returning for season 4 with new campground conflicts — and one major character missing.

Scott Patterson, who plays Harry “Sully” Sullivan, the estranged father of Maggie (Morgan Kohan), will not be back for the new season, as showrunner Roma Roth confirmed in a statement to PEOPLE.

“Season 3 of Sullivan's Crossing ended with Sully leaving for Ireland, beginning a new chapter in his life. Season 4 picks up the next day, with Sully still overseas,” she said.

Sully has left, but another character has arrived: Liam (Marcus Rosner), the ex-husband of Maggie, complicating her romance with Cal (Chad Michael Murray).

Sullivan's Crossing season 4 premieres April 20 on The CW.

In July 2025, when speaking about the new season, Roth told Collider, "There’s never a dull moment at Sullivan’s Crossing,"

"A romance drama series needs to have push and pull between your characters," she continued. "We’re going to have a pretty big shoe drop at the end of the season that we’ll get to see play out in season 4."

How many episodes are in Sullivan's Crossing season 4?

Like the previous three installments, Sullivan's Crossing season 4 will consist of 10 episodes, according to a February 2026 press release.

Production of season 4 kicked off in summer 2025. "I am beyond proud to be going back for season 4 with such an amazing cast and crew," Kohan said in a statement at the time, per Deadline.

”It’s been absolutely incredible to see the organic growth of our show throughout our first three seasons," the actress added. "We’ve had such a beautiful audience base in Canada and it’s been so exciting to see that expand in such a huge way internationally."

Kohan concluded, "Season 4 truly feels like our best yet and I can’t wait to share it with everyone!”

All of the titles and air dates for season 4 have not been confirmed, but The CW has revealed info for the first two episodes:

April 20: Episode 1, "Curveballs"

April 27: Episode 2, "Open Wounds"

New episodes of Sullivan's Crossing air on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.

"This season is full of unexpected twists and revelations. Some good drama, some good ruffling of feathers. We have a couple new characters joining us, which always makes things exciting," Kohan told KTLA in April 2026.

She continued, "A lot of people from the past coming forward, so we get to learn a lot about our characters' histories and what's made 'em tick, and what that says about them."
